the main community presence isn't tied to discord? not discord specifically anyways. everything goes through irc, and it's bridged elsewhere (slack and matrix(?)). it's literally just a convenience thing.

#discordRegardless, "it's just a convenience thing" seems odd when the goal is to get away corporate platforms. Why add convenience to go there or at least stay there?
I also don't care much that it also goes through IRC, as that is a free software supported platform. Most messages in the channel however come from #Discord, and everything goes to Discord. In what sense is this beneficial to the stated goal on the website?
