my m3 pro macbook pro running minecraft with shaders better than my girlfriend’s rtx 2060 still just doesn’t make sense to me

like, the 2060 doesn’t feel like it was that long ago? literally feels like it came out only a couple years ago….

an rtx 2060 (without considering raytracing) is a lower class card, roughly like a gtx 1070, or gtx 980 if comparing to a high tier card. the gtx 980 came out in 2014

correction: 2060 is about 1.5x faster because of architecture improvements, but still is less performant than the gtx 1080, from 2016
